IT Support Technician

Job Summary

We are searching for an ambitious, hard-working support technician who can own the responsibility of providing first-class I.T. support to our clients. The right candidate will possess superior customer service and support skills.

However, we are not desperate to fill this position and are willing to wait to find the right person. Our goal is to find the one individual who would be the best addition to our company.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Network/PC/Server support experience in a level 3 or higher capacity
  • Qualified experience providing end-user desk-side and remote support
  • Experience with Microsoft Servers: Windows 2003, 2008, 2012, SBS, etc.
  • Experience supporting Windows operating systems
  • Experience with firewalls, managed switches, VPNs, VLANs, etc.
  • Experience supporting backup solutions
  • Experience supporting anti-virus software with a centralized management
  • Experience supporting Outlook integrated with Exchange

Desired Skills:

  • Microsoft Certification (MCITP or similar is a plus.)
  • BS Degree in Technical Major or equivalent experience
  • Experience using a PSA tool, such as AutoTask, ConnectWise
  • Experience using an RMM tool, such as Continuum, Kasaya, MAXfocus, LabTech

  • Though we are seeking a full-time employee, we’ll consider part-time candidates
  • Agreement to non-compete & confidentiality agreement
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
  • A broadband Internet connection at home
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must live within 30 minutes of Baton Rouge
  • Occasional heavy lifting
